At Morfa Cove we want all of our guests to enjoy a holiday full of happy days and cosy nights.

We know how precious time with family and friends is, so we strive to create a place where you’re free to relax and reconnect with life’s simple pleasures.

Leave your cars here and walk to the nearby Traeth Bach/Morfa Cove, Llangrannog and Penbryn along our idyllic stretch of Cardigan Bay’s Heritage Coastline.

Our 3 spacious cottages sleep 6,7 & 8 respectively and provide a cosy base ideal for getting away from it all and exploring the Ceredigion Coast by foot or by bike. With a number of idyllic and quiet sandy beaches within walking distance, our air source heat pump heats the indoor swimming pool, our solar panels and renewable energy provider provide the power, and the log burning stoves in all of our cottages can happily warm your cockles once those cobwebs have been blown away.

Our Cottages

Each of our three cottages are part of a former set of farm outbuildings and retain details of their former life. In particular the high vaulted ceilings with exposed A-frame beams and rough rendered walls.

Cool in the summer and warm in the winter with log burner blazing. Whether it is a cosy cottage you are after or a spacious barn conversion you can take your pick.

Cosy yet spacious, with original exposed beams in the eaves and Welsh slate floors - there are plenty of rugs but we do recommend you pack your slippers.

Dogs

Guests are welcome to bring up to 2 well behaved dogs free of charge in all of our cottages. We ask that you please not leave your dogs shut in for long periods of time every day while you are out - it's their holiday too.

Log Burning Stoves

We have stoves fully stocked with logs in all of our cottages for you to enjoy.

Logs are readily available and are £5 for a bucket of logs and £5 for kindling.

Parking & Charging

There is plenty of car parking space available in the courtyard directly outside.

EV charger is available to use at 65p per kwh, running at a speed of 7.5kwh

Swimming Pool

We have a heated indoor swimming pool (heated May to end of September, Easter, Christmas, February & October half terms only, other dates by request with a fee) shared by cottages at Morfa Cove.

Our swimming pool is now heated with a new shiny Calorex Air source heat pump installed in April 2021! During the day this is powered by our whopping 8.45 kW solar panel system and uses 100% renewable clean energy as we have also switched our electricity provider to Octopus so when the Sun is not shining we are still using 100% clean energy – not just to heat the pool but in all of our cottages, all of the time.

A stay at Morfa Cove feels feel like a million miles away… a tranquil and rugged part of West Wales where the wind blows, the waves crash and the sun sets. We’re sure you’ll love it and whatever your journey to get here is, it will be well worth it.

So pack your bags, hit the road and head west… as far west as you can go.

Directions

You can find us easily using Google Maps - just put in ‘Morfa Cove Cottages’ and it brings you straight here! Using our postcode in your satnav can make you overshoot as it takes you to the next house along, but you just need to turn around and drive a short distance back if you miss us.

Locate Sarnau on the A487, which is the main Cardigan (Aberteifi) to Aberystwyth road. At Sarnau turn towards the coast at the junction alongside the church, signed Penbryn 1 and 3/4 miles.

Continue for approximately 1 mile, and then at the first junction by the bridge, turn right. Climb for approximately a 1/4 of a mile, passing the chapel on your left. Almost immediately after the chapel you need to turn left and follow the signs for Morfa Cottages.

After 1/3rd of a mile please take the first left (no through road). Continue for a further 100 yards beyond this sign and you then arrive at Morfa Cove Cottages which are 2nd on the left.
